Summary of Role

 

This is an opportunity to take a strategic and senior role at a leading media company in the South West.

We’re looking for a dynamic leader for a busy sales team covering magazine, events and digital sales.

Details of Role

 

MediaClash is a Bath-based magazine publisher, event organiser and creative agency.

This is a leadership role for a sales professional working across all MediaClash brands and managing the sales team.

This will involve the following responsibilities:

  • Managing and leading a sales team of around 15-20 including seven direct reports
  • Selling the portfolio to key clients
  • Generating new business
  • Leading weekly sales meetings
  • Working with the management and sales managers to set revenue targets and ensure they are met
  • Joining the Management team
  • Leading on recruitment and interviews for sales roles
  • Taking a lead role in growing the company’s revenues
  • Keeping a close eye on the sales activities of competitors and utilising ideas where appropriate.
  • Overseeing performance management of under-performing sales staff.

 

Skills

  • Great sales skills and experience in a media environment
  • Proven management skills
  • Superb client relationship track record
  • Good communication skills – verbal, written, presentational
  • Natural leader with an ability to inspire performance with sales teams.
  • Strong commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial approach to business development.    
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and delivery of results to business plans
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail
  • Experience with financial reporting
