The Flying Lovers is a new co-production between Bristol Old Vic and Bristol’s adopted Cornish cousins, Kneehigh Theatre who have blown the roof off the theatre many times with hit shows such as Dead Dog in a Suitcase, Tristan and Yseult, and The Red Shoes.
The Flying Lovers tells the love story of painter Marc Chagall and his wife Bella, immortalised on canvas as the picture of love and romance, while in reality they walked through some of the most devastating times in history. In their trademark ebullient style, Kneehigh will tell the story of their relationship in the most dazzling way using live music and physical theatre to create an evening you will never forget.
