Carson Systems appoints Greg Ingham as Chairman

Web company seeks to step up growth

09/07/07 — Bath–based international conference and web applications developer, Carson Systems, today announces the appointment of Greg Ingham as Chairman.

As well as running a series of highly respected conferences for web professionals, including Future of Web Design, Future of Web Apps and Future of Online Advertising, Carson Systems also builds web applications such as DropSend, Amigo and Vitamin. It has recently launched conferences in the US and sees growth coming both from new conferences and in taking existing events international.

Ryan Carson, Founder and Director of Carson Systems said of the appointment:

“Since our incorporation, just over three years ago, we’ve experienced tremendous growth. Now we’re keen to build on that success, especially with the development of our events business. Greg’s appointment is an important element of these growth plans. His depth and breadth of experience will be invaluable to us.”

Ingham, who also chairs website publisher Eurogamer Network and has various other commitments alongside the running of his own media firm, MediaClash, commented:

He launched trade paper CTW as Editor and then moved to Future Publishing as Publisher in 1988, becoming MD in 1993 and CEO in 1998. Future floated in June 1999. By the time he left in June 2006, the company had grown from 30–odd people and £2m sales to 1,600 and £225m.
