A rare and exciting opportunity to join a busy media events and marketing team. You’ll be delivering high profile B2B events for flagship brands.

Details of Role

 

MediaClash is a Bath-based publisher and event organiser. This role is working within its in-house events and marketing team to deliver events across Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter.

This varied role will involve the following responsibilities:

  • Liaising with event contractors, agreeing contracts
  • Booking venues for events
  • Budget responsibility for events tracking revenues and controlling costs
  • Organising virtual events, setting up Zoom / Hopin / YouTube, coordinating contributors
  • Researching and booking speakers  
  • Coming up with creative concepts  
  • Creating contracts and account managing event sponsors
  • Internal communications about events
  • Front of house and networking at MediaClash-owned and 3rd party events
  • Organising AV requirements for live events
  • Agreeing event menus, schedules
  • Seating plans, 100-700 guests
  • Organising event hosts
  • Writing and giving staff briefings
  • Event admin such as labels/name badges, ordering equipment
  • Devising contra agreements with suppliers for goods and services

MediaClash is a Bath-based publisher and event organiser. This role is working alongside its in-house events and marketing team to deliver events and campaigns across Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter.

This varied role will involve the following responsibilities:

  • Creating visual content for live and virtual events  
  • Liaising with event contractors
  • Booking venues for events
  • Organising and promoting regular networking events
  • Book photographers and videographers to cover events
  • Setting up ticketing on event websites
  • Helping at events including signing guests in and supporting the Events team
  • Running virtual events hosted on Zoom
  • Updating website information
  • Gathering and collating content from Awards Finalists such as images, logos and contact information
  • Devising contra agreements with suppliers for goods and services

Credit Controller

Summary of Role

 

We are looking for an experienced credit controller to join our finance team.  Working to ensure debts of creditors, and all processes around this, are managed effectively and efficiently.  

Details of Role

 

MediaClash is a magazine publisher, event organiser and creative agency.

The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently on a day to day basis, and as part of a cohesive and effective finance team.

This will involve the following responsibilities:

  • Weekly generation and distribution of invoices, posting to ledger.
  • Proactively managing and collecting debts from clients, meeting daily cash targets
  • Issuing statements to debtors
  • Evaluating new credit requests and conducting client credit checks.
  • Setting up the terms of credit for new clients.
  • Negotiating payment plans.
  • Handle disputed bills and, working with the commercial team, negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms
  • Respond promptly and completely to both client and internal enquiries
  • Aged debt reporting to Finance Manager and Managing Director.
  • Managing the sales ledger.
  • Managing client information across Xero and CRM system, ensuring records are up to date with billing and contact information.
  • Daily reconciliation of bank transactions in financial software (Xero).
  • Management of old debt through internally agreed debt collection process, including late payment demands through to liaison with third party debt collection agency
  • Previous work experience as a Credit Controller.
  • Ability to deal with problematic clients.
  • Represent MediaClash in a professional and ethical manner to ensure long term relationships that benefit both the company and our clients
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers via calls and emails

 

Other support tasks:

  • Management of magazine subscribers; ensuring subscription payments are up to date, and details are included on respective magazine distribution list.
  • Weekly liaison with third party printing company, providing distribution list for that week’s issue(s).
  • Direct debits – adding bills to purchase ledger for reconciliation
